DESCRIPTION:

After three years, we are back in Calgary!!! Doubles and Mixed Doubles tournament hosted at Centre Avenue Badminton.  Get ready for lots of fun.  Get tickets for our Summer BBQ & Drinks (must be over the age of 18 for alcoholic beverage) with lots of great company and music on July 5th (Saturday) behind Centre Avenue Badminton.

TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE

$60 for ONE (1) event (per person)

$100 for TWO (2) events (per person)

LEVELS OF PLAY

Basic rules:

A  any one is eligible, recommended for adult tournament players

B  any one is eligible EXCEPT adult athletes ranked top 8 nationally / top 12 provincially in last 3 years

C  provincial or national ranked athletes (in last 3 years) may not play

JR  must be under 17 years old to be eligible ​

*Badmintology Calgary / Centre Avenue Badminton shall at it's sole discretion decide who is eligible for A/B/C/Jr​

**exemptions may be granted if a highly ranked player is partnering with a novice

Format is elimination.  If you lose your first round of any event, your team will be given TWO BBQ & Drink Party tickets (if you paid for tickets, you will be given a refund).  There is NO consolation.

PRIZES: 

$10,000 total cash  (includes $2000 total gift prize)

(amounts are total per team of 2 contestants)

​A 1st: $600 / 2nd $400 / 3rd $300 / 4th $200​  

B 1st: $400 / 2nd $300 / 3rd $200  / 4th $100  

​C 1st: $400 /2nd $300GC /3rd $200GC /4th $100GC  

​JR 1st: $300 /2nd $300GC /3rd $200GC /4th $100GC

NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED

No hidden costs.  You do not need to purchase any other membership and no hidden fees.  A waiver is required prior to playing this tournament. This event is not a sanctioned Badminton Alberta event.  Badmintology Calgary Inc is NOT affiliated with Badminton Alberta.
